This guide shows you how to set up your coworking space in anny. You combine resources, services, communities and subscription plans so your members can book, pay for and use workspaces, rooms and equipment on their own.

Thinking coworking the anny way

In anny, every bookable object (desk, room, parking space) is represented by a resource. Services define how and at what price something is booked. Communities control access, and subscription plans automate membership and billing. The core principle: resources show what is bookable. Communities determine who may book. Subscription plans connect both with automatic payment.
  • Essential plan or higher for subscription plans and automated invoicing
  • Online payment has to be activated beforehand, so subscriptions and recurring charges work

Step-by-step setup

1

Create resources

Open Resources in the left menu and click +New. Create every bookable object as its own resource: workspaces, offices, meeting rooms, parking spaces, equipment. For several workspaces in one room: create the room as a resource and add the individual desks as child resources under Availability. You can find more about the configuration under Configure a resource.
2

Define services

Inside a resource, switch to the Service / Booking option tab. Define how long or short a booking may be (flexible or fixed duration) and set the price. You can find the details under Configure a booking option.
3

Set up communities

Open Communities from the menu bar and create a new community. You can invite members manually by email or have them assigned automatically through a linked subscription plan.Assign exclusive booking options to the community, so only members see certain services or conditions.
4

Create subscription plans

Open Subscription plans in the left navigation and click +New. Under General information, configure the price, term, cancellation conditions and automatic renewal.Link the plan with a community: subscribers are added automatically and removed again when the subscription expires. Optionally add benefits to make the advantages of the plan visible.
You can configure an individual withdrawal period per plan. Within this period, customers can choose between immediate withdrawal (with a pro rata refund) and cancellation at the end of the term.
5

Configure invoicing

Activate automated payment handling under Account settings > Online payment. From then on, anny manages invoices, incoming payments and recurring charges automatically. You can find more details under Online payment & fees.
6

Check your booking page

Open your booking page in the browser and test the whole flow: find a resource, select a service, book. Check that community-protected areas are only visible after signing in.

Coworking is aimed at providers that rent out desks to external customers (public booking page, subscriptions, online payment). Desk sharing is aimed at companies that manage internal workspaces for their own employees (closed community, SSO, no payment).
Link a subscription plan with a community. As soon as someone takes out the plan, they are added to the community automatically. When the subscription expires or is cancelled, they are removed again automatically.
Good luck with the setup! 🥳
