How do company profiles work?
A company is created as its own record and can be linked to several customers. Company data such as domain, billing address, and VAT ID is maintained on the company, not spread across individual customer profiles.Roles in the company profile
Assigning members
Members can be assigned to a company in two ways:- Manually: You assign customers to the company via their customer profile.
- Automatically: New customers are assigned to the matching company based on company name and business email domain.
Differing business address at checkout
Optionally, you can have a differing business address requested at checkout in the form settings of subscription plans, services, or booking packages. This setting is independent of the company profile and merely complements it.When do I use this?
- Several employees of one company use anny together: Bundle all people under one company profile, instead of maintaining company data multiple times.
- You want to manage billing address, VAT ID, and domain centrally: Maintain this data once on the company instead of per person.
- You need clean analyses by company: With their own records, business customers are clearly separable in lists and exports.
- You are preparing collective invoices or company-related billing: Company profiles create the structural basis for this.
- Not suitable for: Purely private customers without a shared company context. The regular customer profile is enough there.
How it connects with other features
- Manage customers: Customer profiles remain independent. Company profiles add a shared company level on top of the person level.
- Customer balances & collective invoices: Company profiles form the basis for company-related billing processes.
- Communities: Communities control booking access, company profiles bundle company data. Both can be combined (for example one community per business customer).
