The anny POS app brings your entire booking management right to the front desk. You navigate the calendar intuitively, create new bookings for walk-ins and bill services directly from your tablet. Individual PINs let your team share one tablet securely.

Who it’s for

This workflow is for anyone on staff who runs day-to-day operations on site:
  • Front-desk managers who create bookings for walk-in customers.
  • Support teams who edit or cancel existing appointments.
  • Admins who set up the point-of-sale system for on-site staff.

Where to find the feature

You’ll use the main views of the anny POS app for these processes: the calendar and the user menu at the top right. Requirements:
  • You’ve installed the app on your tablet and logged in.
  • You’ve fully set up your resources and booking options/services in anny.
Important: Payments in the calendar can only be processed smoothly through the POS app if your tablet has first been paired with a card reader or Tap to Pay.

How the logic works

Saving and paying for bookings in the app follows a simple principle:
  • Checkout: Saves the booking and immediately opens the payment page so you can charge the amount directly through the reader.
  • Save: Only creates the booking as a draft in the calendar. You start the actual payment later, manually, from the calendar. That keeps you flexible and lets you decide case by case whether payment happens right away or at the end of an appointment.

Step-by-step guide

Create a new booking and bill it right away

As an admin, you create a booking for a walk-in customer and charge the amount immediately.
  1. Open the calendar in the anny POS app.
  2. Click + New to start a new booking.
  3. Select the services and date you want.
  4. In the order summary shown, click Complete paid booking.
  5. Check the booking summary and tap Pay. The payment method opens and the customer can hold their card against the connected reader. The booking is then paid successfully and visible in the calendar.

Secure user switching in your team

When several staff members share one tablet at the front desk, you can switch seamlessly and securely.
  1. Click the user profile in the menu at the top right.
  2. Log in once as a new team member with your normal anny password.
  3. In the next step, optionally set an individual PIN.
  4. From then on, simply click the profile to switch and enter the relevant PIN. Each staff member works securely in their own view, without re-entering the long password every time they switch.

When it makes sense

  • The POS app is your central tool when you manage front-desk operations dynamically.
  • When you need to create, edit or cancel bookings for customers flexibly.
  • When your team consists of several people working on the same device.
  • When you want to decide case by case whether payments are due now or later. That way you always keep full visibility over all of the day’s appointments and revenue.
You’ll find the fee overview here under Online Payments & Fees.

Troubleshooting

You might be in the wrong time view. The app offers different calendar views (e.g. day, week). Switch the view in the menu at the top to make bookings on other days or times visible.
Check whether your card reader is connected. Go to the calendar, click the existing booking and choose the option to pay. If the device isn’t connected, start pairing again or show the built-in QR code for a smartphone payment. Learn more: Set Up Card Readers & Tap to Pay in the POS App
