SALTO KS is a cloud-based access system for electronic door locks. With this integration, anny automatically creates matching access permissions for bookings and community members. With SALTO KS you can do the following in anny:
  • create access automatically based on bookings
  • give community members access to selected locks
  • provide time-limited access via the SALTO KS app, a PIN code or Remote Open
The integration is especially useful for rooms, workspaces and coworking areas that should be used without a manual key handover.
Available from the Professional plan onwards.

Typical use cases

How the SALTO KS connection works

You authorise anny with a SALTO KS admin account. After that, anny can load the available locks and create time-limited access permissions based on your rules. With a booking rule, you link an anny resource with one or more locks. anny creates the access for the defined time window before, during and after the booking. If a booking is cancelled, anny also revokes the related access permission. For single bookings, anny creates the access immediately. For recurring bookings, anny only prepares each access shortly before the appointment. Until then, the access permission has the status Scheduled. With a community rule, the members of the selected community get access to the assigned locks. If the authorisation is revoked or is no longer valid, anny cannot create new access permissions. In that case, authorise the integration again.

Then define the rules for your access permissions:

  2. Select the resource or community.

  4. For booking rules, define Access before the booking and Access after the booking.

  6. If needed, activate Use remote opening so customers can open the lock directly from anny (this requires a connected IQ with active OTP).

Settings & options

Remote Open

With Remote Open, customers can open door locks through anny at the push of a button. You activate remote opening per booking rule with the Use remote opening switch. This requires an IQ connected in anny with a completed OTP setup. Only then are the related locks available for remote opening. Remote opening is only available for booking rules. Community rules offer access via app or PIN, but no remote opening.

Check access permissions

Open a booking and select the related access permission. There you see the status, the access period, the door lock, the creation date and, where applicable, the PIN code. You can also copy the access URL. The booking detail view shows active and inactive access permissions: Check SALTO KS access permissions in a booking

Limitations

The SALTO KS integration does not support:
  • PIN access at locks without a compatible keypad
  • creating new access permissions if the integration is deactivated or no longer authorised
  • using smart lock integrations in a plan below Professional
The number of available access permissions can also depend on your SALTO KS contract.

Disconnect

If you want to keep existing access credentials but stop new ones from being created, deactivate the integration. If everything should be reset and deleted, delete the integration.
You can do both under Integrations: deactivate via the toggle in the top right, delete via the three dotsDelete.

FAQ

Depending on the rule, customers open the door via the SALTO KS app, a PIN code on the keypad or Remote Open in anny.
For access via the SALTO KS app, they sign in with the same email address they used for the booking. For PIN access, no SALTO KS account is needed.
The access permission applies during the booking and for the periods defined in the rule before and after the booking.
If a booking is cancelled in anny, anny also removes the related access permission.
Yes. You can assign several SALTO KS locks to one resource.

Troubleshooting

Check in the booking detail view whether an access permission exists. Then check under Integrations → SALTO KS whether the integration is active and authorised and whether the resource is assigned to a rule. For recurring bookings, the access is first set to Scheduled and is only created shortly before the appointment.
First check whether you have selected a site under Integrations → SALTO KS, because only then are locks available. Then check whether the locks are set up and working in the SALTO KS admin area. If needed, authorise the integration again so anny reloads the available locks.
Check whether the lock has a compatible keypad and whether the access period has already started. Then compare the PIN code with the booking confirmation and the access permission in the booking detail view.
Remote opening requires a connected IQ with an active OTP setup. Check the Possible errors column in the rule overview: if it says “OTP inactive”, set up the IQ and OTP under Integrations → SALTO KS and activate the Use remote opening switch in the rule.
