Notifications are extra text in the emails your customers receive. On a service and on a booking option you also set the appointment reminder on the same tab. You choose the time and write the note directly underneath. This is not an editor for the email layout.
Appointment reminders and additional email information are available from the Essential plan.

When do I use this?

Where do the text and the reminder live?

The text levels complement each other. If a text is stored at account, resource, and service level, all three appear in one email. When there is more than one note, each block gets a heading with the name of that level.

Appointment reminder on the service

The appointment reminder exists only on a service and on a booking option. On the Notifications tab, Reminders comes first. Directly below that is Additional email information. This text appears in the confirmation, in the change email, and in the reminder email. Without a stored time, anny sends no appointment reminder. There is no on/off switch. An empty list means no reminder goes out.

Set up notifications and the reminder

1

Open the service or booking option

Open Services in the sidebar and select the service or booking option. The detail page is open.
2

Open Notifications

Switch to the Notifications tab.Reminders sits above Additional email information.

At least 5 minutes, at most one year.Remove an entry with Delete. An empty list turns that reminder off.The lists show the times anny should use.
4

Write the reminder text

Write the note under Additional email information. You can use headings, lists, bold, italic, underline, and strikethrough. Use the language menu to store the text per language. The note is in the editor, directly under the reminders.
5

Save

Click Save. After that, Saved appears there. At account and resource level you store the same kind of text with Save. There is no appointment reminder there.
Once the reminder and the text are saved, the note appears in the matching emails. The appointment reminder applies to later bookings of this service or booking option.

Troubleshooting

No time is stored on the service, the plan does not include appointment reminders, or the person turned off Reminders in their profile. Check the Notifications tab, the Essential plan, and the customer’s profile.
Payment reminders come from Account settings → Invoicing tab → Automated invoicing → Send payment reminders. You set the appointment reminder time only on the service or booking option on the Notifications tab.
The text is not stored on any of the three levels, or it was not kept with Save. Add it under Additional email information and save. It appears in the confirmation, the change email, and the reminder.
