Available slots are specific, individual time windows that you create for a resource. They suit offers with a fixed date and time: courses, workshops, events, or consultation hours. Unlike schedules, they do not define recurring opening hours but targeted booking opportunities.
Every resource needs at least one connected schedule or one available slot to appear on the booking page.
How do available slots work?
An available slot consists of a specific date with a start and end time. Optionally, you can configure a slot as recurring so anny creates it automatically at a defined rhythm (for example weekly).
In a slot’s Settings tab, you configure advanced options like minimum number of participants, cancellation deadline, and Provisioned Resources.
Available slots appear on the booking page as selectable slots. Customers book the entire slot (not partial sections of it).
When do I use this?
- You offer courses, workshops, or events with fixed dates: Each slot is its own bookable slot with a specific date.
- You want to offer consultation or advisory appointments on certain days: Create slots specifically on the days you want.
- You need a minimum number of participants per slot: Configure the minimum in the slot settings.
- Not suitable for: Regular, recurring opening hours without a fixed end date. Use Schedules for those.
Relationship with other features
- Booking series: Link several available slots into a series that customers book as a package.
- Dynamic capacity planning: Use on-demand resources to automatically match slot capacity to demand.
- Smart Availability: Connect resources so that dependent resources are automatically blocked when a slot is booked.
Settings & options
Use the Recurring option to have series slots (for example a weekly yoga course) created automatically, instead of creating each slot individually.

The resource can also appear in the booking calendar for reference, for example the studio and trainer of a course.

FAQ
What is the difference between schedules and available slots?
Schedules define regular, recurring opening hours (for example weekdays 9 to 18). Available slots are individual, specific time windows for one-off or series offers like courses or workshops.
Can I edit an available slot after the fact?
Yes. Open the slot in the resource’s Availability tab and adjust the date, time, or settings. Existing bookings are preserved.
What happens if the minimum number of participants is not reached?
The slot stays bookable, but you receive a notice that the minimum has not been reached. The decision to run it is up to you.
Can I combine schedules and available slots for the same resource?
Yes. A resource can have connected schedules and available slots at the same time. Both create bookable slots independently of each other.
Troubleshooting
Available slots do not appear on the booking page
Make sure the slot’s date is in the future and the associated booking option is active. Also check whether the available quantity is greater than 0.
The recurrence does not create new slots
Check whether an end date is set for the recurrence and whether it has already been reached. Without an end date, anny creates slots continuously.
The minimum number of participants is not shown
The minimum number of participants is configured in the available slot’s Settings tab, not in the booking option.
