With booking series, you offer several related appointments as a package that can only be booked together. You maintain the individual appointments in your resource’s availability, assign them to a series, and let customers select the right series directly during the booking process.

How do booking series work?

Booking series work with the combination of a booking option (mode “Series”) and the availability of the resource:
  1. You set the booking option’s mode to Series
  2. You create the individual appointments in the resource’s availability
  3. You assign these appointments to a series (for example “Yoga June 2026”)
  4. Customers select the series they want via a dropdown during the booking process and book all appointments at once
Several series can exist in parallel on the same resource. In addition, individual appointments can deliberately remain without a series assignment, to make them bookable as drop-ins.

Provided resources per appointment

Additional resources (for example trainers or rooms) can be connected to individual appointments and are managed directly at the slot level.

Cancelling booking series

Admin cancellation offers three options: Customers cannot perform a series cancellation. They can cancel individual appointments or all following appointments. The provider receives a notification about the type of cancellation.
Cancellation conditions (fees) are only applied with the “Cancel the entire series” option. With single-appointment or follow-up cancellation, no cancellation costs arise.

When do I use this?

  • You offer courses with fixed dates (for example a 12-week language course, an 8-week yoga course): Create a series with all course appointments.
  • You want to offer several course cycles in parallel: Create multiple series on the same resource (for example “Beginners May” and “Beginners July”).
  • You also want to enable drop-ins: Leave individual appointments without a series assignment, so they remain separately bookable.
  • You need a trainer assignment per appointment: Connect provided resources at the slot level.
  • Not suitable for: Automatically recurring individual appointments (for example a weekly jour fixe that repeats endlessly). Use Recurring Bookings for that.

How it connects with other features

  • Recurring Bookings: Recurring bookings repeat one appointment automatically (for example every Monday). Booking series are fixed, manually maintained appointment packages. These are different concepts.
  • Custom Forms: Form data for series is stored exclusively on the master appointment and only visible there.
  • Cancellation Conditions: Cancellation conditions only apply when cancelling the entire series, not for single-appointment cancellations.

Settings & options

Real-world examples

Resource and booking option

Create the resource “Language Course A1” and set the booking option to Series mode.

5

Test

Check the booking process and verify in the admin calendar whether the trainer assignment per appointment is correctly visible.

FAQ

Booking series are fixed, manually maintained appointment packages that are booked as a whole (for example an 8-week course). Recurring bookings repeat one appointment automatically based on a rule (for example every Monday). These are separate features.
No. You create new series through new appointments and series assignments in the same resource. The booking option stays in place.
Yes. If you have created several series in one resource, customers can select the series they want in the dropdown.
No. Customers can only cancel individual appointments or all following appointments. A complete series cancellation is only possible by admins.
Only with the admin option “Cancel the entire series”. Single-appointment cancellations and “This and all following” do not trigger cancellation fees.

Troubleshooting

Check whether the appointments are correctly created in the availability and assigned to a series. Without a series assignment, no selection appears in the booking process.
Check whether the new appointments are created in the resource and assigned to a new series. Without existing slots in the availability, no new series can be shown.
Check which appointments are assigned to the series and which deliberately remain available as individual free appointments. A clean separation in the availability logic is crucial.
