Groups and categories help you organize your resources and services in anny. Categories are predefined by anny and are assigned when you create a resource. You create groups yourself and assign them to your services to control the presentation on the booking page and the overview in the admin area.

Create a group and assign it to a service

1

Open a service

Open Services from the menu bar and click the service you want.
2

Assign or create a group

In the Group field, you can select an existing group or enter a new group name. Confirm the entry to create and assign the group.

Groups only appear on the booking page for services. For resources, the structure is controlled via categories.

Adjust the structure of the booking page

The booking page can structure services by groups. This helps your customers find the right service faster.
1

Open account settings

Click your avatar (top right) and select Account settings.
2

Adjust the settings

Go to the Settings area and adjust the structure. Choose whether services should be structured by groups on the booking page.

Edit or delete groups

1

Open the Service Manager

Open Services from the menu bar. The group overview is shown on the left.
2

Edit a group

Click the pencil icon next to the group. Here you can change the name or delete the group.

When you delete a group, all assigned services lose their group assignment. The services themselves are kept.

Check the result

After configuration, you can recognize the result by the following points:
  • On your booking page, services are displayed structured by the assigned groups.
  • In the admin calendar (timeline view), groups provide a better overview.
  • Empty groups (without assigned services) do not appear on the booking page.

FAQ

Categories are predefined by anny and selected when creating a resource. They cannot be deleted or changed. You create groups yourself and assign them to services. Groups are optional and serve individual structuring.
Groups only appear on the booking page for services. Resources are structured via the predefined categories. In other contexts such as booking rules or global blockers, groups and categories can be used as a filter criterion.
Empty groups (without live services) are not shown on the booking page.
You can adjust the order of the groups in the Service Manager via drag and drop.

Troubleshooting

Check whether the group has at least one service assigned that is visible on the booking page (globe icon active). Empty groups or groups with only hidden services are not shown.
Groups are created directly in the group field of a service. Type the desired name and confirm. There is no separate menu for group creation.
Services without a group assignment appear on the booking page without grouping. Assign them a new or existing group to restore the structure.
