Your booking page is the first point of contact for your customers. With the right settings, you decide which content appears first, how the calendar is displayed, and which resources are shown. By the end of this guide, you will have configured the most important layout settings for your booking page.
This refers to your organization’s anny booking page, not the widget that you can embed on your website.

Understanding the layout the anny way

Before you adjust the settings, it helps to clearly distinguish two areas in anny:
  • Admin area: This is where you configure your account, your resources, and your booking page. Only people with admin rights have access.
  • Booking page: This is the public page where your customers make bookings. It reflects what you set up in the admin area.
  • Booking page as a widget: This is the version of your booking page that you can embed directly into your own website. In terms of content, it shows the same resources and booking options. The difference lies in the presentation and integration.

Step-by-step guide

Open account settings

In the admin area, click your avatar in the top right. Select Account settings from the dropdown menu. Go to the Settings tab.

Set the default tab of the booking page

Look for the Default tab on booking page option. Here you choose what visitors see first when they open your booking page. You have four options:
  • Resource: Shows bookable units such as courses or open spaces.
  • Service: Shows purchasable access such as tickets, hourly passes, or drop-ins.
  • Subscription: Shows available subscription models.
  • Booking package: Shows combined booking offers.
Open the dropdown menu at Default tab on booking page. Choose the tab that is most relevant for your customers and save the setting.
The choice here only affects the starting view. Visitors can switch between the tabs at any time.

Set the default calendar view

In the same area, you will find the Default calendar view option. It defines the view in which the calendar opens by default on your booking page. You can choose from four views:
  • Day: Hourly detail view of a single day. Suitable when many bookings take place per day.
  • Week: Overview of seven days. Good for offers with a regular weekly rhythm.
  • Month: Overview of the entire month. Ideal for a quick orientation and advance planning.
  • Board: Chronological list of all appointments, without a time axis. Each booking is shown in full, regardless of its duration. Particularly suitable as a course overview.
Open the dropdown menu at Default calendar view and choose the view that fits your offer.

Set the resources in the calendar

In the Show resources in calendar area, you define which resources are visible in the calendar on your booking page.You have two options:
  • Show all resources: All existing resources are displayed in the calendar without restriction.
  • Show selected resources: You manually choose from a list which resources should be visible.
If you choose Selected resources, a list of your resources opens. Tick the resources that should appear in the calendar.

Here is how the views behave in detail:
  • Bookings with a duration of 7 hours or more are shown at the top of the calendar as all-day events. This keeps the hourly grid clear.
  • When there are many simultaneous bookings, a maximum of 2 parallel bookings are shown side by side. You can reach the others via +X.
  • Up to 30 resources can be displayed in the calendar at the same time.
Week view in the calendar
  • Appointments appear as a chronological list, without a time grid.
  • Each booking is shown in full, regardless of how long it lasts.
  • Especially clear with many courses or events of varying lengths.
Board view in the calendar
Note: This setting applies to the default view of the booking page. Visitors can additionally customize the calendar on the booking page using filters. These filters are saved per person and restored on their next visit.

Check the booking page

Once you have made all the settings, you can view your public booking page. In the admin area, click Booking page in the bottom left. A new tab opens with the booking page exactly as your customers see it.

FAQ

Yes, you can adjust the setting at any time in the admin area under Avatar > Account settings > Settings. The change is immediately visible on the booking page.
New resources appear automatically in the calendar as soon as they are created. You do not need to adjust the setting again.
Yes. The default calendar view is only the preset. Visitors can switch between day, week, board, and month at any time on the booking page.
Visitors can customize the calendar using filters. These filters are saved per person. That is why the view can differ from one person to another.

Troubleshooting

This is the expected behavior. In the week view, a maximum of 2 parallel bookings are shown at the same time. You can reach further bookings via +X. This keeps the calendar readable even at high capacity.
Bookings with a duration of 7 hours or more are automatically grouped at the top as all-day events in the week view. This is not an error, but a deliberate display choice for better clarity.
Filters and views are saved individually per user. Each person can customize the calendar on the booking page themselves. The admin-side setting in the account settings only defines the default view.
Check whether the resource is active and available for the selected period.
