- Report page views of your booking pages and completed bookings as conversions to TikTok
- Track the success of your TikTok campaigns all the way to the completed booking
- Additionally report bookings server-side, even when customers do not allow cookies
The TikTok Ads integration belongs to the Conversion Tracking feature. If it is not included in your plan, TikTok Ads appears as unavailable in the integrations overview. The same feature also enables Google Ads, Meta Ads and LinkedIn Ads.
Typical use cases
How the TikTok Ads connection works
The integration consists of two paths that you can use separately:- TikTok pixel: anny loads the TikTok pixel script in your customers’ browsers on the booking pages hosted by anny and reports events there. For this, you enter your Pixel ID in the TikTok Pixel panel.
- Offline conversion API: anny additionally reports completed bookings directly from the server to TikTok, without a browser and without cookies. For this, you store an Access token in the Offline conversion API panel.
anny transfers no names, email addresses, phone numbers or booking details. The pixel itself additionally collects the usual browser data such as IP address, browser identifier, page URL and TikTok cookies.
The pixel only loads when customers accept Marketing in the cookie banner of the booking page. Before that, nothing happens. The Marketing option only appears when a tracking integration is active. If a person withdraws their consent, anny no longer sends any further events for them.
The server-side path works independently of cookies: anny reports an offline conversion when a person came to the booking page via a TikTok ad with a click parameter, and attributes completions to that campaign within 14 days. If you deactivate the integration, anny removes the Pixel ID immediately from all booking pages and reports no further events.
Connect TikTok Ads
Requirements
Before you connect TikTok Ads, make sure you have the following:- Admin rights in your anny account and the Conversion Tracking feature in your plan
- A TikTok Ads account with a created pixel and its Pixel ID (TikTok Events Manager → Data sources → select)
- Optional for server-side conversions: an Access token from the TikTok Events Manager (data source → Settings → generate access token)
Set up the connection
1
Enter the Pixel ID
From the menu bar, open Integrations and go to TikTok Ads. In the TikTok Pixel panel, enter your Pixel ID.
2
Optional: store the Offline conversion API
If you also want to report bookings server-side, add your Access token in the Offline conversion API panel and click Authorize. You can skip this step if you only use the pixel.
3
Activate
Activate the integration via the toggle in the top right. Only then does anny pass the Pixel ID to your booking pages.
Limitations
The TikTok Ads integration does not support:- Embedded booking page (widget): In an embedded widget, anny does not show a cookie banner and therefore does not load a TikTok pixel. Instead, anny passes the events to the surrounding website, where its own tag manager can process them. The server-side path via the Offline conversion API works without restriction in the widget.
- Multiple pixels per account: anny stores one Pixel ID per account. If you create another TikTok Ads integration, the most recently activated configuration applies.
- Return channel: TikTok sends no data to anny. You continue to manage audiences, campaigns and budgets in the TikTok Ads Manager.
- Change while active: The Pixel ID can only be changed while the integration is deactivated.
Disconnect
You can do both under Integrations: deactivate via the toggle in the top right, delete via the three dots → Delete.FAQ
Do I have to store an access token?
Do I have to store an access token?
No. For tracking in the browser, the Pixel ID is enough. The Access token is only needed if you also want to report bookings server-side, for example for customers without cookie consent or in an embedded widget.
Can I use TikTok Ads and other platforms at the same time?
Can I use TikTok Ads and other platforms at the same time?
Yes. Google Ads, Meta Ads, LinkedIn Ads and TikTok Ads can be active in parallel and are served via the same events. There is one shared marketing consent in the cookie banner, not one per platform.
How do I change the Pixel ID?
How do I change the Pixel ID?
Deactivate the integration first via the toggle, because as long as it is active, the Pixel ID is locked. Then enter the new Pixel ID and reactivate the integration.
Where do I see whether tracking works?
Where do I see whether tracking works?
You see the reported events and conversions in the TikTok Events Manager. In anny, the activation history under the integration only logs when it was activated or deactivated, not the individual events.
