- Report page views of your booking pages to LinkedIn and build retargeting audiences from them
- Pass bookings, cart steps and the checkout to LinkedIn as conversions
- Additionally report completions server-side, even when visitors do not accept marketing cookies
This integration is part of conversion tracking and must be enabled for your plan. If it is not enabled, you see the integration but cannot activate it.
Typical use cases
How the LinkedIn Ads connection works
The integration has three areas that you find under Integrations → LinkedIn Ads:- LinkedIn Insight Tag: Here you enter the Partner ID. It loads the Insight Tag on your booking pages and is required for activation.
- LinkedIn Ads conversion tracking: Here you create conversion actions that report individual events to LinkedIn as a conversion.
- Offline conversion API: Here you optionally store an access token that anny uses to also report completions server-side.
anny transfers no names, no email addresses and no booking details. The event identifier contains the anny order number. The reported value is the net amount of the order, 0 for free bookings.
Connect LinkedIn Ads
Requirements
Before you connect LinkedIn Ads, make sure you have the following:- Admin rights in your anny account and conversion tracking in your plan
- Access to the LinkedIn Campaign Manager
- The Partner ID from the Insight Tag: Campaign Manager → Data → Signal Manager → Insight Tag → “I use a tag manager”
- Optional per conversion the Conversion ID: Campaign Manager → Measurement → Conversion Tracking
- Optional an access token for the Offline conversion API: Campaign Manager → Data → Signal Manager → Direct API
Set up the connection
1
Enter the Partner ID
From the menu bar, open Integrations and go to LinkedIn Ads. In the LinkedIn Insight Tag panel, enter your Partner ID. It may only contain the characters specified by LinkedIn, otherwise the integration cannot be activated.
2
Create conversion actions (optional)
In the LinkedIn Ads conversion tracking panel, click Add conversion action. Choose the Event type and enter the matching Conversion ID from LinkedIn. For pure reach measurement, you do not need an action: the Insight Tag counts page views on its own.
3
Set up the Offline conversion API (optional)
In the Offline conversion API panel, store your access token if anny should also report completions server-side. For the server-side reporting to take effect, at least one conversion action must also be created.
4
Activate the integration
Activate the integration via the toggle in the top right. Only with activation does your booking page receive the Partner ID and the conversion actions.
Settings & options
Limitations
The LinkedIn Ads integration does not support:- Fetching data from LinkedIn: The connection is one-way. anny reports conversions but does not fetch any campaign, budget or audience data back. You find analysis only in the LinkedIn Campaign Manager.
- Visible conversion log: anny does not visibly log individual conversion reports. You check whether a conversion has arrived in LinkedIn.
- Browser tracking without consent: The Insight Tag only loads when visitors accept the Marketing cookie option. Without consent, only the server-side Offline conversion API reports.
- Personal data transfer: anny transfers no names, email addresses or booking details to LinkedIn.
Disconnect
You can do both under Integrations: deactivate via the toggle in the top right, delete via the three dots → Delete.FAQ
Do I need a conversion action to measure reach?
Do I need a conversion action to measure reach?
No. As soon as the Partner ID is stored and the integration is active, the Insight Tag counts page views automatically and you can build retargeting audiences. You only need conversion actions so that LinkedIn counts certain events as a conversion.
What is the access token for?
What is the access token for?
The access token activates the Offline conversion API. With it, anny reports completed bookings, subscriptions and booking packages server-side to LinkedIn, even when visitors have not accepted marketing cookies. Without a token, tracking runs only in the browser.
Which data does anny send to LinkedIn?
Which data does anny send to LinkedIn?
In the browser, the Insight Tag reports page views as well as the events you created. Server-side, anny sends the conversion rule, time, net amount, currency, the LinkedIn click ID and an event identifier with the order number. Names, email addresses and booking details are not transferred.
Can I use LinkedIn Ads together with other tracking integrations?

Why do I not see a list of reported conversions in anny?

anny does not visibly log the individual conversion reports. You see whether and which conversions have arrived in the LinkedIn Campaign Manager.
Troubleshooting
LinkedIn shows no conversions
LinkedIn shows no conversions
Check whether the integration is active and at least one conversion action with a valid Conversion ID has been created. For server-side reports, an access token must also be stored and the booking must have come from a LinkedIn ad click. Without a click ID, there is no offline conversion.
The Insight Tag does not load on my booking page
The Insight Tag does not load on my booking page
The Insight Tag only loads when visitors accept the Marketing option in the cookie banner. If the option does not appear, no tracking integration is active or Marketing was previously declined on purpose. Also check whether the Partner ID is entered correctly and the integration is activated.
I cannot save the Partner ID or the access token
I cannot save the Partner ID or the access token
As long as the integration is active, these fields are locked. Deactivate the integration first via the toggle, change the values, save and then reactivate. If the Partner ID is rejected (“Invalid tracking pixel”), it contains disallowed characters such as spaces or brackets.
