In this article, we delve into the various settings of the Check-In App for a self-service terminal in the university/library that can be used for check-in/out and on-site registration.
Check-In / Check-Out
With the app, you can check-in and check-out students' bookings. This is especially helpful to maximise all available capacities and ensure that reserved spaces do not remain unused ("no Shows").

Individual settings for check-out:
Pro tip: You can now control check-in and check-out settings separately. Allow check-in only on-site at the terminal for controlled attendance checks and check-out flexibly, independently, and from anywhere by students. The mobile anny app or web application can be used for independent check-out.
Disable automatic check-in so that check-in can only be performed on the appointment date.
Allow flexible, independent check-out by students to avoid queues at the exit and free up seats easily.
Set a minimum check-in time (e.g., 30 minutes) to prevent early check-outs and optimize the permitted hourly quotas.
Registration & Check-In/Out:
Download the app on your tablet and pair it with your anny admin area
Mode: Personalised Registration & Check-In (Check-Out)
Set a start page to prevent the scanner/camera from being continuously active
Adjust the texts as needed
Choose the resources that can be booked
Online bookings can be checked in and local bookings can be registered simultaneously.
Multiple Tablets/Check-In Terminals:
You are welcome to set up multiple terminals and configure them differently. For example, check-in at the entrance and check-out at the exit.
Pro tip: You can also split the resource into two individual resources, one for on-site and one for advance bookings. Both resources can then also be made bookable via one and the same terminal, so that a fixed availability is reserved for on-site and advance bookings.
