It is advisable to have read the Getting Started article in order to be able to implement the configurations described here.
Booking in advance
With this configuration, visitors to the library must book in beforehand and check in at the terminal either with the QR code from their booking confirmation or by e-mail at the terminal, which is only possible with a booking. This method is helpful to ensure a quick check-in at the terminal. In combination with a lead time in the booking option, capacity utilization becomes more predictable. This means that no one goes to the library for nothing without getting a seat. There are two options for implementation here:
Option 1, a tablet for check-in and check-out:
Displayeinstellungen
Displayeinstellungen
Mode: Check-in and check-out (Displays > Terminals > Settings > Mode)
Link resource"Library" (Displays > Terminals > Check-in > Add resource)
Ressourceneinstellungen
Ressourceneinstellungen
Check-in aktivieren (Ressourcen > Ressource > Check-In > Buchungen ein und auschecken)
Check-out gibt Kapazität wieder frei aktivieren (Ressourcen > Ressource > Check-In > Kapazität nach Checkout wieder freigeben)
Option 2, two tablets, one for check-in and one for check-out:
On-site booking
With on-site booking, there is no need to register in advance, so students can also come to the library spontaneously. However, it can lead to rejections at peak times.
Option 1: 1 registration and check-out:
Option 2: 2 tablets, one for registration and one for check-out:
Off-site booking + on-site booking
This option gives students the full flexibility of the two previous configurations
Option 1: 1 tablet for check-in, registration and check-out
Option 2: 2 tablets, one for registration + check-in and one for check-out
Pro tip: You can also split the resource into two individual resources, one for on-site and one for advance bookings. Both resources can then also be made bookable via one and the same terminal, so that a fixed availability is reserved for on-site and advance bookings.
