This article walks you step by step through connecting Google Analytics with anny and setting up conversion actions for Google Ads. You’ll learn how to create a data stream, add your Measurement ID, and configure conversions either automatically via Google Analytics or manually in Google Ads.
Set up Google Analytics
Open Google Analytics
Go to Data streams
Create a new Web data stream
Name the stream “anny”
Enter https://anny.co as the website URL
Create the stream
Open the newly created data stream
Copy the Measurement ID (MESS-ID)
Connect Google Analytics in anny
Open Integrations in the anny Admin area
Activate Google Ads / Google Analytics
Paste the Measurement ID
Save your settings
Tracked events
If visitors accept marketing cookies, the following events are sent to Google Analytics
(no tracking takes place inside widgets):
page_view
add_to_cart
begin_checkout
purchase
Set up conversion actions for Google Ads
Method 1 (recommended): Import conversions from Google Analytics
This method automatically transfers conversion actions from Google Analytics to Google Ads.
Link Google Analytics with Google Ads
Import the desired conversion events into Google Ads
Method 2: Add conversion actions manually
Use this method if you want to reuse an existing conversion action or do not want to connect Google Analytics with Google Ads.
Step 1: Select or create a conversion action in Google Ads
Go to Goals → Conversions → Summary
Click View all conversion actions
Select an existing conversion or create a new one
Step 2: Copy conversion details
Open Set up tag
Select Use Tag Manager
Copy:
Conversion ID
Conversion Label
Step 3: Add the conversion action in anny
Open the Integration settings in anny
Click Add conversion action
Paste the Conversion ID and Conversion Label
Save your settings
