So that your anny AI assistant can take calls without you having to change your public phone number, you set up call forwarding. Incoming calls to your existing number are then automatically forwarded to the anny AI number.
Requirements
anny AI is activated and you have received your anny AI phone number (found under Organization Settings > anny AI).
You have access to your phone or the management interface of your phone provider.
The anny AI number is in international format (e.g., +49221...).
Which type of forwarding suits you?
Depending on your situation, you can use different types of forwarding:

Tip: The most popular option is "On no answer." This way, you can personally answer the phone if you wish – and anny AI only steps in when you're unreachable.
How to set up forwarding
The setup depends on your device or provider. Below you will find the most common methods.
Via GSM Code (works with most mobile and landline providers)
Open the phone app and enter the appropriate code to activate forwarding:

Via iPhone settings
Open Settings > Phone > Call Forwarding.
Activate Call Forwarding.
Enter the anny AI number in international format.
Confirm the entry.
Note: Only immediate forwarding can be configured via the iPhone settings. For conditional forwarding (on busy, on no answer), use the GSM codes above.
Via Android settings
Open the phone app > Settings (three dots) > Call Settings.
Tap on Call Forwarding.
Select the desired forwarding type (always/on busy/on no answer/on unreachable).
Enter the anny AI number and confirm.
Note: The exact path may vary depending on the Android version and manufacturer.
Via phone system or VoIP Provider
If you use a phone system (e.g., Fritz!Box, Sipgate, Placetel, Starface), configure call forwarding in your provider's management interface:
Log in to your phone provider's admin interface.
Navigate to the call forwarding settings.
Enter the anny AI number as the forwarding destination.
Select the desired condition (always, on busy, on no answer).
Save the setting.
Tip: With VoIP systems, you can often set up forwarding on a time-controlled basis – e.g., only outside business hours. This way, anny AI automatically takes over after closing time.
Result
After successful setup, calls to your existing number are forwarded to anny AI according to the selected condition. Your customers notice no change. They continue to call your familiar number and are automatically connected to your AI assistant.
Important: The number from which calls are forwarded, e.g., the public number of the reception, cannot be used again as a destination for a transfer.
Common Errors
Problem: Forwarding doesn't work.
This may be because the number was entered in national format (0221...) instead of international format (+49221...). To fix this, always enter the anny AI number with the country code.
Problem: Calls don't reach anny AI.
This may be related to your mobile provider blocking forwarding to certain numbers, or the service not being included in your plan. To resolve this, contact your provider and ask whether call forwarding to landline numbers is possible.
Problem: You only want to forward calls that you don't answer – but all calls are forwarded immediately.
This is because "immediate forwarding" is active instead of "on no answer." Deactivate immediate forwarding (#21#) and instead set up forwarding on no answer (*61[number]1120#).
