Purpleview Integration

Connect Purpleview with anny so that a meeting URL is automatically created for eligible bookings. This allows you to offer online appointments in anny without any additional manual steps.

Written by Lea Fendler

The Purpleview integration adds an option to anny for handling online appointments via Purpleview. As soon as you link a resource to Purpleview, anny automatically creates a meeting URL for every booking of that resource.

This is especially helpful for organizations that want to offer official or advisory appointments digitally. The booking flow in anny stays the same, and online access automatically becomes part of the booking.

Who is this feature for?

This feature is particularly useful for admins and providers who want to manage appointments reliably and digitally.

Typical use cases:

  • If you want to offer online appointments for citizens in a municipality or city administration.

  • If you want to run consulting or service calls digitally.

  • If only certain resources should take place online while others remain on site.

  • If new team members need a clear and easy to follow logic for online appointments.

What changes with this feature?

From your customers’ perspective

  • Customers continue to book their appointment in anny as usual.

  • For bookings that belong to a resource linked to Purpleview, a meeting URL is created automatically.

  • Online access is provided as part of the booking so customers can join digitally at the scheduled time.

  • For appointments that do not belong to a linked resource, no Purpleview meeting URL is created.

From an admin perspective

  • You enable Purpleview in the anny admin area under Account settings > Integrations.

  • Then you link the integration to the resources for which online appointments should apply.

  • anny automatically creates the meeting URL for each booking.

Important: The automatic meeting URL is created only for bookings that belong to a resource that is actually linked to Purpleview.

Where can you find the feature in anny?

You can access the Purpleview integration in the anny admin area:

  1. Open the admin area.

  2. Go to Account settings.

  3. Switch to the Integrations tab.

  4. Open the Purpleview integration.

  5. Set up the connection.

  6. Then link the desired resource to Purpleview.

Prerequisites and dependencies

  • The Purpleview integration is available in the account.

  • The resource is linked to Purpleview.

  • The booking is made via a resource for which the Purpleview logic should apply.

How the logic works

The Purpleview integration in anny follows a simple core logic:

  • Purpleview is first set up at the account level under Account settings > Integrations.

  • The logic applies to a resource’s bookings only once that resource is linked to Purpleview.

  • For every booking of that resource, anny automatically creates its own meeting URL.

  • The booking flow in anny remains unchanged. Online participation is added on top of the booking.

As a result, you can offer online appointments without making the process more complicated for customers or having to manage meeting links manually.

When is this feature useful?

The Purpleview integration is especially useful:

  • if you want to offer online appointments in anny,

  • if only certain resources should take place digitally,

  • if you want to reliably offer official or advisory appointments online.

If, on the other hand, you only offer on site appointments or do not want to connect an external meeting platform, the Purpleview integration is generally not necessary.

FAQ

Do I only need to enable Purpleview once?

Purpleview is set up in the anny admin area under Account settings > Integrations. For the booking logic to apply, the relevant resource must also be linked to Purpleview.

Is a meeting link automatically created for every booking?
Yes, but only for bookings that belong to a resource linked to Purpleview.

Can customers still book normally?

Yes. The booking process in anny stays the same. The meeting URL is added as part of the booking.

Where exactly do customers see the meeting URL?

To confirm: Add the exact placement, for example in the booking confirmation, email, booking details, or customer account.

What happens in case of rescheduling, cancellation, or moving an appointment?

To confirm: Add a validated description of whether new links are created, existing links are updated, or links become invalid.

Troubleshooting

Problem: No meeting URL is created.

  • First check whether the booking belongs to a resource that is actually linked to Purpleview. Without this link, the automatic link creation does not apply.

Problem: Only some bookings get a link.

  • This is expected behavior if Purpleview is enabled only for certain resources. Not every booking in the account automatically generates a meeting URL.
