With Events, you map occasions in anny that have a clear event character: a single date or a few specific dates, fixed capacities, and a distinct purpose. This lets you manage bookings centrally and ensures that customers only see the events that are actually available.

This is especially useful for providers who want to make one-time or clearly scheduled formats available for online booking quickly and intuitively.

Who is this feature for?

This feature is designed for admins and providers who want to map events with clear date and capacity logic in anny.

Typical use cases:

  • Info evenings or open day formats

  • Networking events or community events

  • One-time workshops with an event character

  • Webinars or online events with limited spots

  • Seasonal promotions or special events

Events in the anny context

Services are your specific offerings on resources, e.g.:

  • "Event ticket – Afterwork Meetup"

  • "Workshop participation"

Instead of general opening hours, events in anny work with available time slots. An available time slot is a fixed slot – e.g.:

  • Tuesday, 6:00–7:30 PM "Community Event"

The core principle for events in anny: For each time slot of a resource, you can link additional resources as provided resources (e.g. an event room), which are automatically blocked for that time period.

Step-by-Step Setup

  1. Build your resource structure

    1. Create your offering (event) as well as the rooms (event venue) as independent resources

    2. To do so, click on Resources in the left menu and then +New in the top right corner

  2. Define services

    1. Go to the Service / Booking Option tab

    2. Define the corresponding service for the offering resource (= your event) (e.g.: Event ticket)

  3. Plan an available time slot

    1. Open the Availabilities tab within the event resource

    2. Set the quantity to Multiple Available and enter the number of available tickets under Available Quantity (e.g. 15)

    3. Scroll down to Available Time Slots and click + Add Available Time Slot

    4. Define the settings under the General tab

    5. Set the date and time for the slot

    6. Optional: Open the Settings tab to connect the resources that should be scheduled and blocked for this slot under Provided Resources

      1. Add the room to the event so that it is automatically blocked for that time slot

  4. Review the booking page

    1. Check how the event appears on the booking page

    2. Test the visibility of the available time slots and run through the booking process

Typical Use Cases

Coworking Event

  • Main resource: "Afterwork Event"

  • Dependencies: Event space + 2 side rooms

Training / Seminar

  • Main resource: "Smart City – Seminar"

  • Dependencies: "Coach Max", "Seminar Room 2"

Troubleshooting

"The event is not displayed on the booking page."

  • Check whether the time slot has been correctly created in the availabilities and still falls within the booking rules. A reached capacity limit can also make the event unavailable for booking.

"The event was automatically cancelled."

  • Check whether a minimum number of participants with a cancellation deadline was configured. This logic applies per time slot and can automatically cancel an event date.
