With cancellation policies, you determine until when customers can cancel (cancellation window) and what costs apply (cancellation terms). You can set a default fee and add additional time-based conditions for short-notice cancellations.
Set up cancellation policies
Open the desired resource and the booking option for which you want to set cancellation policies.
Switch to the Cancellation tab.
Set the cancellation window and specify until when a cancellation is possible.
Choose the unit: minutes, hours, or days.
Choose the reference point: before booking start, after booking start, before booking end, after booking end.
Define the cancellation terms and set the conditions under which you accept cancellations. In addition to a default fee, you can define additional time-based fees (e.g., higher costs for short-notice cancellations).
Choose the type of cancellation: free of charge or subject to a fee.
Set default costs
Define the default cancellation costs (as a percentage). Examples: 0% = full refund, 50% = partial refund, 100% = no refund
Optional: Add further conditions
Click + Add condition and define for each condition: Time period (e.g., X minutes/hours/days before/after start/end) and Cancellation costs (percentage)
Example configurations
Free cancellation and No refund
Partial refund (50%)
8-hour cutoff: up to 8 hours before start, 50% refund; after that, none
Explanation: You receive a 50% refund if you cancel up to 8 hours before the booking. After that, the following applies: From 8 hours before the appointment: no refund.
Notes
Cancellation costs (percentage) refer to the booking price. Refund = 100% minus cancellation costs.
The cancellation window limits whether a cancellation is possible at all. Outside this window, cancellation is not possible.
Your saved changes apply to future bookings of the respective option.
