anny is fully GDPR-compliant – developed in Germany and hosted on servers located in Germany.

With the optional deletion period feature, you can implement your internal data retention policies and define custom deletion or anonymization periods for personal data.

💡 Note: As a data processor, anny does not delete data independently. You decide when and how long personal data is stored, anonymized, or deleted.

What is deleted or anonymized?

All personal user information, including:

  • First name & last name

  • Email address

  • Activity within the platform (e.g., bookings)

  • Company

  • Phone number

  • etc.

Deletion Periods & Anonymization

By default, data is stored for up to 10 years.

Anonymization

Recommended for desk sharing and universities:

  • Booking data is retained in anonymous form (e.g., for utilization analytics)

  • All personal references are completely removed – no link to the individual remains

  • User data like name and email are fully deleted

Full Deletion

Recommended for highly sensitive use cases, such as occupational health programs or vaccination accounts:

  • All bookings and user information are completely removed

  • No analyzable data remains

How to Configure Deletion Periods

  1. Go to your Account Settings and navigate to the Features tab.

  2. Enable the Deletion Periods feature.

  3. A new tab called Privacy will appear – click it.

  4. Choose Custom Deletion Periods and select whether to delete or anonymize personal data.

  5. Define retention periods for both free and paid bookings.

  6. Save your settings.

💡 Important: Both anonymization and deletion are irreversible – once data is removed or anonymized, it cannot be restored!
