Why Keycafe?

Keycafe offers the option of equipping existing keys with transponders. These keys can then be stored in a Keycafe terminal, similar to a parcel locker. The Keycafe integration in anny allows you to grant access to these keys through bookings.

Setup

Since anny's integration requires a user account for Keycafe integration, we recommend creating one yourself for the integration. Creating a user account is free of charge.

Setup in Keycafe

  1. Go to add

  2. Add a user

  3. Click on Full User

  4. Follow the remaining steps to create the user. More information is available here.

Setup in the anny admin area

  1. In the Organization Settings, click on the Integrations tab and select Keycafe.

  2. Enter the email address and password of the created user.

  3. Click on SMS Receive verification code

  4. Enter the code in the anny admin area.

Once the user has registered, authentication in anny is complete.

Configuring Smart Lock access

Once the authentication process is complete, you can set up your access.

Access through bookings

  1. Click Add to create a new connection.

  2. Select the resource that should grant access to the key when booked.

  3. Select the corresponding key from Keycafe to which access is granted.

  4. Determine the time at which the customer can pick up the key before and after booking.

Pro tip: The three dots on the right allow you to edit or delete existing connections.

Note: With Keycafe integration, it is not possible to create permanent access for communities via anny.

View Smart Lock accesses in the anny admin area

In the detailed booking view, active and inactive booking accesses can be viewed and edited.

By clicking on the respective access point, you can see/edit:

  • status

  • access period

  • door lock

  • creation date

  • the PIN code (if possible)

of an access, and the access URL (if possible) can be copied.

Symbol:

Status:

In progress: Access was requested by anny, but not granted by the locking system.

Successfully created: Access has been successfully created and the customer can operate the lock at the time displayed.

Removed: Access has been removed by the system or an administrator, and the customer no longer has access to the lock.

Pro tip: By clicking on the three dots, you can view access in the admin area of the locking system and also access the integration settings in anny.

Booking process

How does integration work? What does the booking process look like?

Borrowing the key

The person making the reservation will receive a code in the booking confirmation. This code can then be entered into the Keycafe terminal, and a compartment will open containing the key to the resource.

Returning the key

The transponder in the key can be held up to the terminal via NFC, and a compartment for returning the key opens.

Note: Keycafe return reminders will be forwarded.

Note: The customer may return the key late. anny has no influence on the usability of the key outside of access times.
