Resources are the heart of anny. A resource can be anything you want to offer for booking that is only available in a limited quantity: rooms, equipment, workspaces, events, or consultations. In this guide, you set up a resource completely.
Multiple availability of resources and multiple availability with assignment (child resources) must be activated under Account settingsFeatures before the respective availability types are available for selection.

Create and configure a resource

1

Create a resource

Open Resources from the menu bar and click New+ in the top right. A new, empty resource is created.
2

Fill in the general information

Configure the basic data of your resource:
  1. Image: Upload an image in landscape format or choose one from the gallery.
  2. Name: Choose a meaningful name. With several resources, we recommend a recognizable label.
  3. URL: Adjust the URL ending so the link on the booking page is logical and consistent (e.g. https://anny.co/book/meeting-2-stairways-to-heaven).
  4. Category: Assign the resource to a category (e.g. meeting room, parking space, flex desk, workshop).
  5. Group: Optionally assign the resource to a group for internal management (e.g. department, division).
  6. Description: Add a description with the toolbar. You can insert headings, lists, images, videos, and tables. Using the @ sign, you link directly to other resources, subscription plans, or booking packages.
  7. Files: Optionally upload an image or video that can be viewed and downloaded on the resource page.
  8. Properties: Create filterable properties (checkbox, number, or text) that customers can filter by on the booking page.
  9. Location: Specify the location as an address, online, or no location.
3

Choose the availability type

Under the Availability tab, you define how often the resource can be booked at the same time:
4

Define a schedule

Under Availability, enter your regular availabilities or available slots. Individual weekdays can be added multiple times, for example to represent a lunch break.
The times on the resource override those of the booking option. They must be identical to or larger than those of the booking option.
5

Test the resource live

Check how your resource looks on the booking page: in the resource list, click the three dots in the top right and select View. The resource opens in the booking view, even if it is not yet set to live.
6

Set the resource to live

Set the resource to live via the status button in the resource list so it becomes visible on the booking page.
Images for resources must be uploaded in landscape format (optimal: 968 x 544 pixels). Images uploaded in portrait format are rotated automatically. For banners, use 1920 x 1080 pixels; for logos, 400 x 400 pixels.

Check the result

Your resource is configured correctly when it is shown as live in the resource list and is visible on the booking page. Check there whether the image, description, properties, and availabilities are displayed correctly.

FAQ

A resource is the parent bookable object (e.g. an office with several workspaces). Child resources are the specific individual options within this resource (e.g. desk 1, desk 2, desk 3). When booking, customers choose a specific child resource or are assigned one automatically.
Per booking option, you can set the booking type:
  • Standard: A booking blocks the resource for the period. For multiply available resources, one capacity unit is blocked per booking.
  • Transparent: Bookings do not block the resource. This allows an unlimited number of bookings for the same period.
  • Multiple: A single booking blocks the set number of capacity units (e.g. for group tickets). Only for multiply available resources.
  • Full: A booking blocks the entire capacity of the resource (e.g. to book a resource with child resources as a whole).
Click Translate via the three dots in the top right of the resource and choose the desired target language. For child resources, you can also store separate translations for the names.
The feature must be activated first: go to Avatar (top right) → Account settingsFeatures and activate Multiple availability with assignment.

Troubleshooting

For resources, only images in landscape format can be uploaded. Images in portrait format are rotated automatically. Upload the image again in landscape format.
The file size is probably too large. Reduce the file size and try again.
A pixelated image occurs when the resolution is too low. Use at least 968 x 544 pixels for resource images. anny is responsive: in smaller views, the outer areas of the image can be cropped. Therefore always position important content in the center.
